• Extended opening hours

We recognise how difficult it can be for working parents to fit in the nursery drop off and pick up around their working hours. More and more parents have been commenting on the benefits of a slightly earlier drop off and a slightly later pick up. After a lot of consultation, we have decided to extend our opening hours in the near future by providing an “Early birds session and Aftercare”  enabling parents to drop off their children at an earlier time of 07.30am and late collection until 18.30pm.

We would be pleased to know whether this will be of any interest to our existing parents and always welcome your views.

    New joiners and movers

We are pleased to welcome Kyra, Aarush and Kaiden to Sunshine Room, and Elijah to Woodlands.

We are also pleased to welcome Olivia who has joined us as Bank Staff.

     Room changes

Discovery operates a class room style system for focused activity time to ensure that all children’s learning are appropriate for their age and ability. As your child progresses through the classes, their key worker may change. It is also important for our teachers development that they experience the learning and teaching of different age groups.

As such, the following changes have recently taken place.

Laphia, with the assistance of Charli, has officially moved into Sunshine Room.

Afshan will be assisting Kimberley in Woodlands Room.

We are still interviewing for the position of preschool teacher. Whilst we have seen a lot of potential candidates we are keen to ensure that we recruit the right person. In the meantime, pre-school will be taught by Funmi and Olivia.

  • Results of the Easter egg competition!

We would like to thank all the parents for their efforts in the Easter egg competition. It was great to see the parents getting involved and we were amazed at the creativity. Points were awarded for parent/child team work and creativity and Jackie, from Fairytale, made a special visit to judge the entries. The winners were Isaiah (Sunshine Room), Chase (Woodlands Room) and Tiya (Explorers) although all the entries would have been worthy winners. Congratulations!

  • Menu change!

With so many kids out for the Easter break we have decided to have an impromptu Easter lunch. So, we asked the kids what they would like to have for lunch and “Fish fingers and chips” was a clear winner!  At least they didn’t say chocolate!

Wishing you all a Happy Easter!
